What to see nearbyMontemarcello, panoramic point
Just a 10-minute drive from the hotel, Montemarcello offers a breathtaking view of the Gulf of La Spezia and the mouth of the Magra River.
From here you can walk to the famous black beach of Puntacorvo, following about 300 steps immersed in the Mediterranean scrub of the Montemarcello-Magra Park.




City of Sarzana
10 minutes from Fiumaretta, Sarzana welcomes visitors with its historic center steeped in history, the Firmafei Fortress and the lively Piazza Matteotti. The city is also known for the famous Attic in the Road, one of the most popular outdoor antique markets in Italy.
Forte dei Marmi
A few kilometers from the hotel, Forte dei Marmi is the most exclusive seaside resort in Versilia, with well-kept beaches, luxury boutiques and an elegant atmosphere. Nearby is Pietrasanta, an art city of medieval origin and a renowned center of artistic marble processing.



Carrara and Puntacorvo
The Carrara marble quarries are one of the most spectacular attractions in the Tuscan hinterland, reachable in about 30 minutes. Organized excursions allow you to visit them in a guided way, often combined with dinners and evening shows. The black beach of Puntacorvo, on the other hand, can be reached on foot from Montemarcello, along a panoramic path in the green.
Lerici
A 20-minute drive from the Hotel La Maria, Lerici is one of the most fascinating villages in the Gulf of Poets, with its medieval castle overlooking the sea, the colorful port and the hidden coves along the coast. An unmissable stop for those who love Ligurian seaside villages.




Portovenere and the Cinque Terre
About an hour's drive away, Portovenere is one of the most suggestive places on the western Ligurian Riviera, a UNESCO World Heritage Site together with the Cinque Terre.
The five villages of Riomaggiore, Manarola, Corniglia, Vernazza and Monterosso can also be reached by sea from Lerici and La Spezia, or by train from the Sarzana and La Spezia Centrale stations.
